On the 6th Day of Christmas....

Okay... so, maybe a disclaimer should be posted here for this one..*L*
REMINDER: I said I may take liberties with the words to this song, and this time I REALLY have! *L*

On the 6th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me....

SIX HE'S A LAYING
..... (get it?? - I'm gonna hate this if I have to explain it..*L*)(Oh, and try saying HE'S to sound like it rhymes with geese, that may help..*L*)

FIVE GOLD RINGS... (and assorted baubles)..(see prior photo)

Four Calling Birds... (see previous photo)
(Hello, can you hear me now?) *G*

Three French Hens.... (see previous photo)

Two Turtles 'n Doves .... (see previous photo)

... and a Partridge with Pears and a Tree.. (see previous photo).

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I actually had made a different assemblage for this 6th Day, but rejected it in place of the above.

Here's that one .... (and yes, I know those aren't geese, or goose eggs, or even goose feathers..*L*)

On the 5th Day of Christmas ...

Continuing with the assemblages of various treasures I have that fit into each day of this familiar Christmas song ... and in a fun way, I am, at times, taking some liberties with the lyrics along the way. *S*

For your viewing pleasure I present the fifth of 12... (feel free to sing the new lyrics outloud or to yourself..*G*), and scroll back to see my other days of Christmas assemblages.

On the 1st Day of Christmas, Inspiration Came to Me....

I am taking some liberties with the popularly known 12 Days of Christmas song.

I thought it would be fun to come up with some assemblages of things I have here that may fit into each day of that song ... or at least in a fun way, taking some liberties with the lyrics perhaps too.. *S*

Soooo, for your viewing pleasure I present the first of 12... (feel free to sing the new lyrics outloud or to yourself..*G*)

On the 1st Day of Christmas inspiration came to me...

A partridge with pears and a tree...

(Okay, so it may not be a partridge, I don't know what kind of bird that is exactly, but it's cute!! *S*)

Merry Christmas Day Morning... *yaaawwwnn*

Our morning started SUPER early, with a 4:30 a.m. phone call from my Dad telling us the family members on my side of the family, who stayed the night at Mom and Dad's were awake and ready to get opening gifts! So, by a little after 5 a.m. we were out there waiting on the rest of the sleepy family members to arrive..*L*

This year on my side of the family, there were 67 of us! It was just a bit more crowded than last year... and next year there will be more to add to the crowd!

We had a wonderful, blessed time with the family... a madhouse of fun, fun, fun! *S*
Photos of the Christmas chaos....

Family sat on the chairs, couches, floor and stood anywhere there was a free space, in the living room, dining room, family room, hallway and kitchen...

Mom and Dad (Nana and Papa) enjoyed having everyone there too! We are so blessed to have our parents, and give God thanks for them!!

Everyone grows up so fast, and more and more family members are added each year it seems... here are nephews Jesse and Matt, who are now uncles to their niece Hailey, one of the newest members to the family.

Angelina loves to dress up, here she is in a beaaauutiful bride outfit Nana bought her.

More of the newer family members... and big Red, my parent's dog, who decided to take a nap in the middle of all the chaos!

Janel and Josh, still sleepy from the early hour... Kaine and Kasey clowning around (as usual - *L*).

Brunch along with the adult gift exchange fun! *S*

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And then we headed out for the 10 a.m. Church Service... which was a blessing and spirit-filled worship time. Thank you God for sending your Son, Jesus, for us!

Here is Christ Church on Christmas morning... (photos by Kasey K Photo)

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

More Christmas Eve Celebrations - Night Time...

We celebrated Christmas with my husband, John's, side of the family on Christmas Eve evening. Sherry & Wayne hosted us this year. A fun time with that side of the family too! Not everyone could be there, but we had a nice crowd, fun times, more delicious food, and enjoyed the celebration of Christ's birth with each other.

Here are photos of the fun:

The annual Christmas Eve euchre game...

Wayne received a pair of Christmas tree boxers, and Sherry was the "lucky" recipient of an ugly Christmas sweater her daughter, Laurie, made her and she was FORCED to wear for part of the night. *L*

One tradition on this side of the family is to have photos of each family taken ...

We had fun with our gift exchange game as well, and enjoyed the treats we received! Some had fun with the gift bags even! *L*

We were glad that the icy roads and snow held off... it did however, rain all night long, but it was better than having bad roads and accidents! The weather reports said that had we had snow instead of all the rain, we'd probably had almost 18 inches of snow! Thankful for many things tonite!! Now it's time to sleep... we will be up super early for my side of the family's celebration tomorrow!

Happy Christmas wishes to all.. and to all a good night! xoxoxox
