Happy New Year 2011~~!

Been awhile since I have posted here ...

It's been a hectic, busy time at work, at home, with Church things, family, friends and life.

I'm thankful for all those things though, just wish I had more hours in the day to make some art things more too! But soon.... I hope?

Last night John and I went out with friends, Randy and Sue and Deb. It was a fun time! We met here, then went out to Tubby's for the New Year's Eve steak and lobster special.. yum!! We ate early, avoiding the late night crowd there, and coming back to our house to play some Wii bowling. Deb, Sue and I even tried a few songs on the Just Dance II - *L*..what a riot that was!! It gave John and Randy some laughs - Ha!

It was an early night all around (yes, we're old and tired! *L*)...the "party" broke up before 11 p.m., John was snoring upstairs shortly afterward, and I stayed awake to watch the New Year's ring in, and fell asleep watching some old movie.

Then today we headed over to Harriett and Mark's for our annual family lunch, and the annual New Year's 99 game! There were tables set up all over the living room and dining room, and as the players were eliminated one by one, they combined into one final table.

This year's big winner was Hannah, who just barely beat my Mom (Nana) for the pot.

Those who were out of the game early, tried their talents at Wii Just Dance.... even the littlest ones got into it!

A fun time for all! Thanks Harriett and Mark for hosting us all again!

Christmas Day

A Very Merry & Blessed Christmas Everyone!!

Our morning started out early... My Dad called us at 5:09 a.m. to tell us that the family that had spent the night at their house was awake, and it was time to head out for my side of the family Christmas get-together.

70+ of us gathered at Dad and Mom's... we sat anywhere and everywhere... living room, family room, dining room, hallway, kitchen, front porch, back porch and anyplace on the floor that had some free space.. *L* Needless to say, gifts for 70+ people pile up pretty high and wide, and they create a big MESS!

But the best part of Christmas, is just being with family and loved ones!
Here are photos from Christmas morning's celebration in no particular order (because there are just too many of them!)...

Family chaos at it's best!! *S*

Yes, it IS difficult to keep track of everyone in this crowd... *L*
Some gifts are lost along the way, but the garbage is re-checked, and cushions are removed, we search under couches and chairs, and find the gifts that somehow escape from their intended owners.. lol

Do I look like I'm tired??...cuz by the time we finished in the morning, rushed off to Church, then back to Dad and Mom's for lunch and a short time in the afternoon, I was beat! *lol* But what a great time we all had together!

Dad and Mom (Papa and Nana) survived another Christmas with all their kids and grandkids, and great grandkids... Love you both!! xoxox

Christmas Eve Celebration

We celebrated with John's side of the family on Christmas Eve. A fun time with family, and an appetizer dinner... yummmm!

After a fun gift exchange game, we played a dice game with chips, just for fun, but then we decided to play for dollars... Ashley was the big winner!
