Happy Thanksgiving - Family Dinner

Wishing everyone a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!!

I am thankful for so many things... especially my family!
Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever! (Psalm 107:9)

Almost everyone (who weren't off hunting, or out of town) gathered at my sister and brother in law's, Chellie and Bill's for a feast of thanks. We missed those who couldn't be there too, but it was a fun time with lots to eat!

Photos of the crowd (about 65 of us) follows.....

This year's turkey weighed about 50 lbs (60 lbs stuffed!)... my mom fixed that one and brought it over, Chellie fixed a smaller one that was about 15 lbs and looks so small in comparison! *L*

Fun photos of the little kids with the giant turkey bird ... it's much bigger than all these kids! *L*

Jorden and Kasey were ready to dig right in, and Hailey was almost too small to be seen over the turkey. Ha!!

Dad doing the traditional carving of the turkey ... and photos of the other chaos and fun!

My brother Jerry, the MASHER...*L* He was in charge of mashing the potatoes before we all ate...

"Kids" of all ages like to get together and play...
Kaine terrorizes Josh ... Jorden and the other cousins playing... and sister Erica wishes she had Jorden's beads..*L*

Everyone waits in eager anticipation for the feast to begin....

LET'S EAT!! .... Giving thanks to God, and then digging in!!

Aweee.... faces a mom and grandmom can love!! *S*

Today was also BIL Bill's 60th Birthday... so not only did we roast turkey's...we roasted Bill for his birthday too... everyone brought fun cards and jokes in honor of his OLD age...*G*

THANKS CHELLIE AND BILL FOR HOSTING THANKSGIVING THIS YEAR!! It was GREEEEAT!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And back at home.... Kasey, Jorden and I danced the night away to music in the kitchen before bedtime... *S*

Actually, for me, it was just time for a short nap before I plan on heading out at the stroke of midnight to get some good deals on sales at a few stores for "Black-Friday".

*setting my alarm*
zzzzzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...zzzzzzzzzzzz

My "New" Car... well, new to ME at least.

My first black car/van... I can either be really stealth in it, or it will really be showing the Wisconsin winter's salt and dirt on it ..*L*

Since my 2006 Grand Caravan decided to end it's existance with us a week before our road trip, we decided to go with a "newer" mini-van, which John and I signed papers on after I returned from the road trip and picked up the other day. This one is 2 years old (2008), but low mileage and in great shape (Thanks Tasch Motors!!). It has a lot of cool new features too... back side windows that open and close, where previously only had a vent window in the way back. It's an automatic, but the shift is on the dash instead of on the column... it has the same stow and go seats that I had in my last one (which I LOVE!), and I found out it has heated seats in the front! Which is really great in the winter, I am already finding out! *L*

I haven't read the manual yet, but it has a whole different radio/video/cd player system in it... and lots of other buttons, knobs and things I have yet to figure out... but it's a nice one... only drawback is extending payments longer...but then, car payments seem to be a way of life these days anyway.

High Again... up in the Church Rafters, I mean..*G*

I haven't been to the church site for over 12 days now, since before leaving on vacation, so this afternoon I visited to see what has transpired since I last saw the renovations.

Here are photos from today... I was up high again, on the 3 story high scaffolding to see the design painters work ... awesome... hope it's not too much when it's all done, more "fancy schmancy" details than we had before ... but their work is awesome!

Looking forward to seeing the finished product...and really wish it was all done now... too much stress, controversy, extra work, strife and hard feelings amongst many coming out of it, in and through all our major renovations that are happening. And still about 3 more months of it...ughhh!! But then, this too shall pass (please Lord!!)...counting on that big time!

Looking down from the 2nd story of the scaffolding...

They've also added the windows into the new Chapel wall that had previously been in the nave of the Church (where the new side entryway will now be).

I've added these photos and MORE to the Church wide screen TV at our temp site downtown ... check them out there!

Happy 60th Surprise Birthday Party for Randy...

We were invited to be part of the surprise party for our good friend Randy, who turned 60 just a couple of days ago. His girlfriend, Sue (also a good friend), organized a great surprise party for Randy. We all waited outside, in the cold, for Randy to pull in ... Where is he??

Finally arrives!! Tt was fun to see the look of shock and surprise on his face!

After greeting friends and family outside, it was time to go inside to "get this party started!!"

Lots of good food and beverages... and good friends too!

A really fun party, for a great guy!!

A fun party!! Good Job Sue, I think you REALLY surprised Randy!! ... and Happy Birthday Randy, wishing you many more happy birthdays ahead too!!
