Vacation time winding down....

After our Poker Run earlier this morning, we said good-bye to Kasey, who was going home for a friend's wedding, and Kaine and Jorden left too so that they wouldn't have to get up super early on Sunday and pack up to leave.  Sad to see the vacation coming to an end... we've had lots of fun, great weather, and fun times!  Wish more of the family could have been here this year, but hopefully next year!

So it was hugs and kisses, and then some relaxing, and pizza for dinner for those who stayed.

Saturday Morning Poker Run - in the Rain!

Rise and shine, it's raining .. it's pouring, the old man is snoring..*L* .. and Jorden is waking up!

Finally a bit of rain arrived in the morning!  Well needed too!  We held a Poker Run at our family campsites after breakfast at Pelnar's, the rain didn't stop the fun as we went from camper to camper to collect our cards.

Friday Nite Goofy Gift Exchange

Everyone brought along on vacation, one item from home, that they already had, that was no longer wanted or needed for a gift exchange. Usually we'd have been sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows as well, but because of the drought conditions, no campfires are allowed, and no smoking allowed outside either in this county. But we still had a good time as we chose one gift from the pile of them.

Devil's Lake State Park Lunch, Swimming & RAIN!

Kearney's supplied lunch for all the family at Devil's Lake ... hot dogs and bratwurst, chips, fruit & more.

We enjoyed the cooler breeze from the lake .. and even enjoyed the freak rain storm that swept in ... except for the fact we had wind damage to our tent canopy and so did the Pelnar's. But we sure DID need the rain... just that the rain didn't make it half an hour north to the campsite.

The storm brought our fun at Devil's Lake to a halt... so we went back to the campground.  Dinner on our own tonight, and then our goofy gift exchange at the Kearney campsite, photos to come later....
