Our Church was host to the noon Good Friday Ecumenical Community Service today. It was a good one...9 area churches joined together to worship. Celebrants included left to right: Elisa Brandt - Luther Memorial Lutheran; Gerald Peterson - Sugar Creek Lutheran Church; Laura McLeod - United Church of Christ Congregational; Marlyne Seymour - Christ Episcopal; Mike Ida - First Baptist Church; Brian Armstrong - Delavan United Methodist; Rey Diaz - Vida Abundante Hispanic Ministry UMC; Brian Holbus - St. Andrew's Roman Catholic; Bill Myrick - Christ Episcopal Church.
The veneration of the cross included putting thumbprints of the ashes from Ash Wednesday on the cross as we came forward to venerate the cross during the service.
