Merry Christmas Every ONE!

Sure was a different kind of Christmas morning for us this year.  Usually we go to my Dad and Mom's really EARLY ... like at 5:30 or 6 a.m.  But this year, Mom is recovering from pancreatic cancer surgery, and undergoing chemo treatments, and still at the nursing home recovering... so, we aren't having the usual LARGE (75+) family gathering there.  Mom is doing pretty good, and we are all so thankful for that!  We'll all be getting together for my side of the family Christmas at our house on Saturday, and Mom will be able to come for a few hours to celebrate with us too!

We slept in...which was actually a pretty nice treat on Christmas morning.. *lol* .. and then went to Church, which was a blessed worship time!

Kasey & Kaine singing joyfully!
I always love when the kids come with to Church.  Kasey and Kaine always try to "out sing" each other in the Christmas hymns!  *lol*  They actually both have great voices, and people have enjoyed their loud joyful singing too!

It was also a kind of bittersweet time at Church... Father Bill's last Christmas service with us  (he's retiring at the end of December), so many of us were a bit emotional for that, ...as well as realizing the blessings of God in sending His Son, Jesus for us that we celebrate on this day!

Being home today afforded us a delicious luxury for Christmas dinner... garlic lime shrimp on rice, and lobster tails!  Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm....
