Road Trip 2009 - Day 4

The morning started out rainy, so we decided to go to the Aquarium in Chattanooga. By the time we arrived, it was nice, a bit overcast, but about 70 degrees. The aquarium was a fun trip. Here are some photos from parts of it.

There was a cool banjo player and cute kid dancing when we arrived. Check out the short video! (note: turn off the playlist song before watching so you can hear the music better.)

Many of these photos are ones Kasey took... I bring along my own photographer on road trips!!

This one photo of the fish and people looking up at them have me humming that "Under the Sea" song..*L* And aren't the jellyfish beautiful!!

The glass jellyfish are pretty too!

Who are YOU lookin' at??

A grandfather shows his granddaughter how to get a butterfly on her finger...

We were able to pet fish and smaller sharks and stingrays.

There were a lot of sharks around too!!

Lots of interactive things for kids (and adults) to do, inside and out! Here are some fun stepping stones.

Definitely a great place to visit in Chattanooga!!

Kasey treated for lunch, and a DELICIOUS lunch it was!!

Kasey had BBQ bourbon salmon with spinach & pecans & smashed sweet potatoes and I had pistachio encrusted scallops on a bed of chopped beets, rice & spinach, we also shared some coconut califlower soup, and some mini muffins and bread... YUMMM!! Thanks Kasey!!

Then we decided to take the Ruby Falls Cavern tour before leaving... The entrance is on top of Look Out Mountain. A beautiful place!

Tunnels to the falls were often narrow, sometimes low ceilings, lots of ducking down for taller people, and sharp rocks sticking out at times too. Some of the rock formations look like various things... here's one that they say looks like a back end of a donkey. *L*

Check out the video here of the actual falls ...they are beautiful! And one of the largest underground falls in the USA. (Note: turn off the playlist music and you'll be able to hear the roar of the falls)

After the mile long walk thru the cavern, we headed on our way toward Memphis, TN... we took a scenic route, and tonite we are staying in Madison, Alabama, which is near Huntsville. Beautiful mountain area! Tomorrow, we head out for more adventures and fun!!
